Next.js is far from opinionated, as far as frameworks go. I used to love PHP and laravel but Nextjs has really come a long way. Plus have you ever tried Payload CMS?

One thing I do like about PHP and is the reason I still use it for certain specialty projects are the extensions. Like image magic, etc.

Node has some similar packages but PHP has some really advanced tools.
