No, it's intentional and it's dehumanizing and harmful, and quite frankly wrong that people do it.

Obviously, misinterpreting someone's gender accidentally is an honest mistake and hopefully one would respectfully let them know what they identify as.

Gender has nothing to do with how a person presents on the outside, it's how they feel on the inside. It's how they choose to identify.
